Senior Electrical Engineer

Description

The position provides technical expertise and leadership to implement and execute asset integrity strategies at one of the operating sites within the South Jordan Business. The location will be a phosphate concentrate, phosphate mining, or potash mining operation. The person in this position is a self-motivated member of a centralized asset integrity team.

What you should have

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical engineering.

  • 5+ years total experience in electrical engineering.

  • 3+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering.

  • Complex Process Facility experience.

  • Familiarity with industrial codes and standards is important.

  • Previous mining experience min 2 years.

  • Knowledge of power generation, MV/LV distribution systems (switchgear/MCCs), and UPS/DC power systems.

  • Protection Systems.

  • Control System Experience (Desirable).

  • Project Management experience (Desirable).

  • AutoCad.

  • Experience in MS Project, word and excel.

  • Strong communication skills are required for this roll.

What you will be doing

  • Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment, or systems.

  • Prepare Electrical work scopes, cost estimates, schedules, material specs, sketches, construction work packages, and other required documentation.

  • Understand Client and Hussein Est. required project outcomes in regard to budget, safety, client expectations and time restraints.

  • Participate in various stages of studies, design, construction, testing and commissioning execution for projects in accordance with the project schedule and budget.

  • Collaborate effectively to ensure team goals are achieved by providing input into decision making and problem solving.

  • Writing reports, analysing data and providing recommendations.

  • Develop, approve & disseminate HSEQ Management Plans.

  • Building strong and productive working relationships with all stakeholders.
